WHAT I DO

I guide the modern mystic mama to reconnect with mama earth. Using witchcraft, astrology and kundalini yoga we break old belief systems to move towards soul-level transformation. By uniting body, mind, and spirit, we become present, enjoying each moment fully and embodying our highest selves.

MY STORY

Middle school soccer was my introduction to movement for stressed muscles and the knowledge was utilized into early adulthood. My journey to yoga began as a result of the increased stress at work in 2013 while I was working as an Executive Assistant for a non-profit organization. The next year, 2014, held a shift in world-view and a search for contentment. Amid the search, hot yoga became a retreat from stress. Hot yoga teacher, Hilary Keegan, inspired my pursuit of the 200-hour yoga certification, as her classes included spirituality and philosophy through the physical practice. A strong passion for holistic health compelled me to register and in the fall of 2017 completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training with Yyoga. This journey has lead to the creation of my first blog website. Teaching power, flow, hatha and meditation, I was excited to partner with local studios to offer my service to others.

In 2018 I joined the Karma Yogi program with Kushala Yoga Studios in Port Moody and volunteered my time to work the front desk and get to know the community. Yin and Power yoga classes were great tools for me as I did marathon training from January to May to run a half-marathon mid-May. At that time, there was a new teacher offering Kundalini yoga classes - I was hooked! Kundalini took the fire of hot yoga and combined chanting/singing. The physical movement is dynamic in Kundalini, versus the static poses that are held in hatha or power yoga classes and, to me, embodied the feminine traits more than the masculine. This was the best possible mix for me. Kundalini introduced me to Astrology and Astrology lead me to witchcraft. Thus began my journey to embody the divine feminine. 

At the beginning of 2019, I ended my volunteer services with Kushala’s Karma Yogi program, paid for my liability insurance so I could teach, and registered by business name “Soul Yoga Retreat”. That spring I taught a complimentary yoga series to find my voice and teaching style. Classes included hatha, power and flow styles of yoga. Later that year, I offered Women’s Circles as a way to incorporate astrology, spirituality, pagan festivals from the wheel of the year, as well as physical movement. Mid-August I had a joyous surprise to see that I was pregnant and so began my journey of motherhood.

She is masterful, she likes authority, she aspires toward an ideal. She likes to give advice. She is honest, frank, loyal, open, and sincere.

She has a lot of presence and her manner commands respect, always seeming powerful and determined. She sees through people, looking past their superficiality. In her dealings with others, she reads between the lines to find answers. She has an awesome ability to feel out others and situations.

VIRGO MERCURY

She likes to discuss, deduce, and judge. She reasons logically and accurately. She may spend a lot of time on practical matters and keeping things in order. Sometimes nitpicky and nervous, secretly feeling she handles matters better than others.

LEO VENUS

Sincere, frank, and warm affections. She is full of tenderness. High hopes in love. She likes to live and satisfy her passions to the fullest. Can be possessive and might even seduce for the sake of seducing to prove to herself that she is attractive. Very proud in love, and warm-hearted and generous with loved ones.

TAURUS MARS

Goal-oriented, she is not known for her speed, but her staying power is tremendous. She is generally calm and easy going, valuing strength and stability. She is driven by security.

CANCER JUPITER

She attracts the most good fortune when she is sympathetic, charitable, uses her powers to save and accumulate, and comforts others. She values tradition and works towards security. Relies most on gut instincts when it comes to pursuing goals and business success.

CAPRICORN SATURN

She can be scrupulous, honest, correct, worthy, and respectable.

CAPRICORN URANUS

Can have some problems accessing her intuition, since common sense often dominates. A great battler. She has so much power that one thinks nothing can defeat her. Her mission in society and in the world can mean everything to her. May question traditions and can be very open to redefining the meaning of success and to changing up traditional approaches to career and status.

CAPRICORN NEPTUNE

She is discerning, wise, and sensible. She is perceptive and able to see layers to a situation. She is naturally drawn to learning what makes herself and others tick.

SCORPIO PLUTO

She has willpower and ambition, and almost always prefer to have her own way. She can pour much of her energy into succeeding professionally. She is an authority figure and a great organizer. Strong sense of authority.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE

Her path is to learn to be more impartial and less possessive in relationships and with creative projects. As she learns to let go of the need for a passionate chase, satisfaction will come to her naturally as she sees that she nevertheless gets what she needs.
